What a view!

I’ve always had a thing for these landscapes by Marco Suarez. The photos are gorgeous to begin with, but the desaturated hues and crisp circle frames make me feel as if I’m gazing through a magic porthole to a far-off land. There are even more prints in his Etsy shop that inspire the “I want to go to there” feeling we all know and love. Snag a few for a windowless room or your office and let the daydreaming begin!

Landscapes seem to be all the rage lately. It would be silly to say that their popularity is increasing among artists, since nature is one of the oldest and most beautiful subjects. However, I have no qualms pointing out that the landscape trend is definitely alive and well in our S/S 2012 wardrobe options. Tons of designers are working photographs of mountains, deserts and forests into their collections, and the results are stunning. These toned-down photo-realistic pieces are going to give bold floral prints a run for their money in the months ahead.

Animal Print Shop

Fell in love with these surreal animal portraits by Sharon Montrose today. They admittedly remind me a bit of taxidermy, but it’s just so much cooler knowing that these crisp, clean, detailed shots are of real, live animals. I almost didn’t believe it until I saw this interview video with Sharon, from Etsy. Such amazing work, and it’s all available for purchased on her site, Animal Print Shop. I could stare at these captivating creatures all day long!
